An Israeli Film Service documentary.
Monks, Bedouins, Palestinians of Jericho, and members of one kibbutz are its few permanent residents, but the Judaean Desert also attracts many tourists. And rightfully so: the arid valley east of Jerusalem comprises an impressive number of unique natural phenomena and fascinating archaeological sites. This film reviews the geography of the Judaean Desert, its flora and fauna, its current residents, and the remains left behind by their predecessors.
