The film “For whom did the traffic lights flash?”, produced by the Israel Film Service for the Ministry of Transport in collaboration with the National Council for the Prevention of Accidents, explains what to do if you reach an intersection with a green traffic light that starts to flash.
The film presents a case where Rami and Nurit, a couple of friends, go on a picnic with their friends. They linger at home and when they set out they decide to drive in two cars. Rami follows Nurit and when they approach the intersection the traffic lights start flashing. Nurit brakes in surprise and Rami, who doesn’t notice, crashes into her from behind. In the driving course, Rami tells his classmates about the accident, and with the help of the instructor, a discussion is held about who is to blame for the accident and what options Rami had to prevent the accident.
