A film produced by the Center for culture and Education of the Histadrut, and featuring members of Kibbutz Ein Gedi.
A young Israeli couple, members of the Nahal brigade, winds up in Ein Gedi of the Sixties. At that time, prior to the Six Day War, the location was remote for Israelis, and the only way to reach it wound from the south. The pair hitchhikes from the region of Sodom and reaches the Kibbutz, still located in its original, low-altitude location. Impressed with the history of the place, they joined the kibbutz and wed at the foot of the nearby waterfalls. The young woman, Ruth, becomes pregnant and the question of her medical safety is raised. On the day of the birth, a helicopter transports her to the hospital in Beer Sheva. The couple and their infant daughter return to the kibbutz, which has by now begun shifting its location to a nearby hill. They receive accommodation in a modern concrete house.
