A documentary produced by Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America.
From Hula Lake to Eilat, this film captures Isreal at the beginning of the 1950s – in color. This is a journey from north to south, which focuses predominantly – though not exclusively – on Hadassah’s enterprises. Alongside the Zionist organization’s hospitals and education centers, this film documents the developing city of Beersheba, Jerusalem’s Talpiot Transit Camp, and Beit Mazmil (Kiryat HaYovel) neighborhood, Safeds alleyways, and others.
