A short documentary film about the Persian Jewish community. The film was produced as part of a series called The Communities of Israel for Israeli television in 1973.
The Persian and Iranian Jewish community underwent many upheavals from 650 AD to the 1970s, and their status was changing between being forced to hide their religion, as happened in Mashhad, and full recognition and representation in the Iranian parliament. The film traces the history of the communities that remained in Iran and those who immigrated to Israel, preserving the customs and traditions of Persian Jews.
