“In the year 1889, bloody events broke out in Israel, and the responsibility for the peace of the entire Yishuv fell on the shoulders of the Rabbi, who was revealed as a leader of unparalleled stature.” The story of Rabbi Kook, who immigrated to Israel during the Yishuv period and became one of the fathers of religious Zionism, a figure of immense influence on the Jewish settlement. The film explores the life story of Rabbi Abraham Isaac HaCohen Kook from his birth in Lithuania through the various stages he went through in his life, his perspective, and his attempt to bridge the gap between religious and secular and to promote Jewish agriculture in the land of Israel. The film includes testimonies and stories from friends and colleagues: the painter Nahum Gutman, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, and many others.
