A short film produced by the Israeli Film Service in collaboration with the Broadcasting Authority in 1973 about Israel’s maritime history.
The shores of Israel have always been a transit point for sailors, traders, and conquerors, between Asia, Africa, and Europe, its ports were built and destroyed, conquered and liberated countless times by nations and empires, each left their mark on the land.
This film presents the incarnations of the ports of Israel from biblical times to the present day and the many cultures that ruled them.
