On a city street, a cauldron full of water is placed above a fire, and dishes are immersed in it for the traditional Hagalah of cooking utensils ahead of Passover. in shops, customers purchase dishes and matzos, and women do the laundry in tubs. At the Port of Haifa, ships full of tourists dock ahead of the holiday. Their passengers load their luggage on top of cars and stroll in tourist sites.
