Israel Is Banned From Participating in the Asian Games

Although Israels national soccer team, as well as many Israeli athletes, have been training in preparation for the Asian Games in Jakarta in recent weeks, Israel will not be able to attend the sporting events, since the Indonesian government has not yet approved the participation of Israel. The secretary of the Olympic Committee in Israel, Haim Glovinsky, responds to this decision in a speech, claiming that the Indonesian government is discriminating against Israel, thus violating the Olympic regulations.
