Dozens of drownings have occurred this year on the coast of Israel. Many swimmers enter forbidden beaches without rescue stations. The Ministry of the Interior has pledged to increase signage and find additional solutions. At one beach a rescue operation is documented. A swimmer is taken out of the water is by a lifeguard who performs mouth-to-mouth while many curios people crowd around. At another beach in Haifa, rafts have been installed to allow swimmers to rest.
