1962
  • Rate

After a protest of the Bene Israel community against their discrimination, daily life is depicted in moshav Nevatim, whose residents are Jews from Cochin (India). Chief Rabbi of Israel Yitzhak Nissims instruction to check the ancestry of individuals from the community before approving their marriage, as well as the governments resolution to appoint specific marriage registrars for Bene Israel, caused a protest among the community. In Nevatim, children of the moshav play, and elderly residents work in the fields.
