Mayor of Tel Aviv Mordechai Namir participates in the unveiling ceremony of the sign marking Orchestra Square. The Square is named after the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra on its 25th anniversary. At Tel Avivs Culture Palace (Heichal HaTarbut), an exhibition of images from the orchestras history is displayed. President of Israel Yitzhak Ben-Zvi and his wife Rachel Yanait enjoy a festive concert of the Orchestra, featuring Beethovens Symphony No. 9 conducted by Josef Krips.
