A 1000 teenagers from 26 countries participate in a conference for Jewish youth from abroad, organized by the World Zionist Organizations Summer Projects for Youth. The purpose of the conference is to encourage youth from abroad to make aliyah (to immigrate to Israel). At the David Yellin Teachers Seminary in Jerusalem, Minister of Labor Golda Meir addresses the attendees, while sitting beside her is the head of the WZO Youth Affairs Department, Eliyahu Dobkin. Later, the youth make a pilgrimage to the grave of Theodor Herzl, on the 50th anniversary of his death. The youth carry flags, and a choir sings by the grave.
