Technion student Yasha Kazakov (Yakov Kedmi) returns to Israel after going on a hunger strike in front of the UN Headquarters in New York in protest against the situation of the refusnik Jews in the Soviet Union. At Lod Airport, Kazakov speaks in a press conference with fellow activists Geulah Cohen and Dov Schperling. Kazakov is the first Jew that was permitted by the USSR authorities to make Aliyah despite having no relatives in Israel.
