A military helicopter lands Prime Minister Levi Eshkol, Labor Minister Yigal Allon, Cheif of the General Staff Yitzhak Rabin, and other senior officials in the south of Israel for a visit to military units. Southern Command Commander Yeshayahu Gavish and Commander of the Armored Forces Israel Tal welcome them upon their arrival.
IDFs units are ready for battle on the verge of the Six-Day War: soldiers remove tanks covers; infantry evacuate mines; communication lines are buried in the ground and female and male soldiers operate the radio; destroyers patrol the sea; infantry dig trenches and man guard posts; soldiers carry out their daily routine in the field – shave, shower, eat, watch shows, receive mail and newspapers, nap in their uniform and pray; combined forces execute military drills.
