After its seizure in the Six-Day war, Radar Hill excavations reveal bones of 7 Palmach soldiers that fought there in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. The outpost on the hill, that controls the road to Jerusalem, was a scene of bloody battles between the Arab Legion and the forces of the Yishuv and IDF. At the end of the fighting, the land remained under Jordanian control, as well as some of the killed soldiers bodies. 19 years later, Military Rabbinate soldiers found the deads remains.
