The first horse race named after Yitzhak Netzer, a kibbutz member who died in the Six Day War, is held in Ramat Yohanan. The competition was organized by his family together with the Galilee Riders Club and the Hapoel Sports Club. Two thousand spectators gather to watch horse races and a tent pegging competition. Some 80 riders, some of them kibbutzim members and others Arab and Bedouin, participate in the event.
