The French Film Week is held in Israel, and a delegation of filmmakers, actresses, and actors from the European country visits it: the directors François Truffaut and René Clair, the actresses Emmanuelle Riva, Francoise Arnoul, and Françoise Dorléac, and the actor Jean-Pierre Cassel, as well as the manager of the UniFrance Film company, which promotes French films abroad. The delegation lands at the Lod Airport and is greeted by French Ambassador to Israel Jean Adolphe Bourdeillette. Afterward, the guests stand on the stage at the festivals opening at the Chen cinema in Tel Aviv, and the audience applauds.
