On Holocaust Remembrance day, a ceremony is held in Nahalat Yitzhak Cemetery, during which the unveiling of the tombstone for the martyrs of the Treblinka extermination camp takes place. In the presence of Prime Minister Levi Eshkol, the new monument is unveiled, and Rabbi Yitzhak Yedidia Frenkel delivers a speech. Rabbi Frenkel who recently returned from Poland, brought with him the ashes found in the incinerators of the Treblinka extermination camp, which were buried under the new monument in the cemetery. Holocaust survivors and their relatives attend the ceremony at the cemetery.
