The opening ceremony of the 1964 AFC Asian Cup is held at Ramat Gan Stadium: Teams from South Korea, India, Hong Kong and Israel follow each other onto the field. Prime Minister Levi Eshkol arrives at the stadium and shakes hands with the team managers and with FIFA President Sir Stanley Rous. Israeli footballer Yehoshua (Shaye) Glazer lights the Cup Torch. Goalie Yaakov Hodorov reads the oath to the players. Following the ceremony, a match takes place between Israel and Hong Kong. Israel wins 2:0.
