After the government accepts an American peace plan between Israel and its neighbors based on a withdrawal from territories, ministers speak to the press against the background of Gahal possibly pulling out of the coalition. Outside Mifal HaPais House in Tel Aviv, where Gahal Centers gather, students protest with posters in favor and against the split in the grand coalition. Inside the building, party leader Menachem Begin and Minister Yosef Sapir address the participants of a temperamental discussion, at the end of which they decide to quit the government. The next day, Prime Minister Golda Meir declares her governments commitment to the American proposition in a speech at the Knesset. She is followed by the new Leader of the Opposition Begin, who warns from a possible national crisis due to the devision of the land.
