A short animated film, produced by Merkaz Hahasbara in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Spring is over, the flowers in Israel’s fields are dry, and one female bee flies abroad in search of nectar. But alas, without foreign currency, she cannot get what she wants. And then, suddenly, an idea flashes into her mind: instead of paying for the raw material in dollars, she will pay with produce. This is the allegory used in this video to demonstrate the importance of export to the Israeli economy. In that context, the video emphasizes (in rhyme) the role of quality control over local products: “Without quality, there is no export; and without export there is no import, no employment, no food. Watch out: that’s not good!”
