An experimental film, produced by Merkaz Ha’hasbara (Israeli Film Service) and dedicated to the battles in Sha’ar HaGai during the War of Independence.
Sixteen years after the War of Independence, Nature slowly covers its traces. But on the road to Jerusalem, in the place where armored convoys attempted to break through to the besieged city, the remains are still clearly visible. Communication trenches, barbed wire fences, wrecked armored vehicles, and archive photos from Jerusalem during the war are the main cast in this film. Without narration, they tell the story of one of the war’s most iconic battlefields.
