A co-production by the Ministry of Labor and the Israel Film Service. In 1971, strikes in Israel caused a record number of lost working days. Subsequently, in 1972, the 2nd Amendment to the Labor Disputes Law was enacted, aiming to prevent “wild strikes and surprise strikes” by increasing the government’s involvement in conflict resolution. This film showcases the advantages of seeking institutional methods to address labor agreement breaches instead of resorting to “The weapon of a strike.” The film also presents the benefits of the Labor Court, which had been established only two years earlier. The film features a speech by the Minister of Labor Yosef Almogi, interviews with legal experts and Knesset members, as well as testimonies from workers and trade union members.
