Israeli and international tourists in the central Sinai enjoy petroglyphs and visit a desert inn for lunch. They are here as part of a five-day tour of the peninsula, organised by the Egged bus company. Every detail on the way carries an association of the exodus, the narrative by which their itinerary was designed. Ancient script reminds of Hebrew, pigeons in the yard are the Biblical partridges. resin on a bush is referred to as manna, and the well waters evoke the spirit of antiquity.
