An excerpt from Tower and Stockade, produced by the Israel Film Service. A historical overview of the years 1936-1939 and the establishment of the settlements of Homa and Migdal. Tel Amal, was the first settlement of this settlement operation, and the first kibbutz in the Beit Shean Valley. About a year after it was founded, it was renamed, Nir David. Parts of buildings, a tower, and wooden walls were prepared in advance in the yard of Kibbutz Beit Alfa and were moved in one day before disturbances arose from the Arabs or the British. The structure of the settlement served as a model for the other settlements in this settlement operation. (Director: Amnon Teitelbaum, cinematographer: Zecharya Raz, editor: Yossi Nechmad, screenplay and narration: Elhanan Oren, producer: Zohar Arnon)
