A promotional film produced by the Ministry of Labor and the Division for Vocational Training and Continuing Education, introducing the initiatives for vocational training for young boys who have dropped out of the formal education system and work to help support their families. Such initiatives were part of a tracking mechanism in the Israeli education system in the first decades of the establishment of Israel. The young boys are offered to participate in a program of vocational education in a military workshop run by the IDF, under the guidance of teachers, some of which are civilians and others are soldiers, who teach the students professions like engraving, tinsmithing and more. The boys study language and mathematics one day a week, and participate in social activities in the evenings.
