A documentary produced by the Chief Education Officer in collaboration with Merkaz Ha’hasbara (Israeli Film Service) about basic training in the IDF.
A few dozens of Israeli youths come to the recruitment office. They change to uniforms, undergo medical examinations, and eventually head off to a recruit training base. The first day in the IDF has elapsed. Over the next few weeks, the young men will become qualified IDF combat soldiers. This film follows the basic training process of a Nahal recruit’s company. It documents the soldiers from the moment they learn the most basic skills and all the way to complex live fire exercises.
