Documentation of the first official visit of an Israeli prime minister to the White House.
At Lod Airport, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol bids farewell to ministers, Knesset members, and officers and departs for an official visit to the United States. Over the following 11 days, he will converse with U.S President Lyndon B. Johnson and other American politicians, meet with key figures in the local Jewish community, visit military and space centers as well as a water distillation plant, and even shake hands with Hollywood movie stars. This short film depicts many moments from the visit and emphasizes the importance attributed to it by the local leaders and media.
