A film by United Israel Appeal featuring a comprehensive overview of British Mandatory Palestine. Highlights of the film include rare footage of the Zionist enterprise in the land and the rise of the first kibbutzim: Kinneret Courtyard, Degania, Kfar Giladi, Capernaum, and Gesher, alongside scenes from Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. Also included in the film is footage of agricultural work, road construction, and Pinhas Rutenberg’s power station. The film offers an intriguing glimpse of the era and some of the land’s then-Jewish community leaders: Chaim Weizmann, Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook, and Menachem Ussishkin.
