A short Israeli Film Service documentary.
The Upper Galilee’s picturesque landscape hides a rich past and a tense present. This film reviews the history of the Jewish settlement in the area over the years: from the antiquities of Tel Hazor to the towns on the Mountains of Naftali, built by the State of Israel. Another focus of this short film is the unstable security situation in the area: while historic battlefields like Tel Hai and Nabi Yusha tell of past wars, residents of Kiryat Shmona remember much more recent events, such as the 1974 massacre in the town.
