A documentary film, produced under the auspices of the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption.
Ten year old Ilan Vaserman is the only male in the classical dance group in Haifa. In his homeland of Russia, from which he had recently migrated, he was a member of a male dance group. In Israel, however, he is laughed at by his classmates for his “femininity”. This film tells the story of a new immigrant, a talented young dancer, who copes with not only a culture gap but also a strict training regime. “This little man is divided into two worlds,” concludes his dance teacher Lia Schubert.
