The Beer Sheva Chamber Orchestra now known as the Beer Sheva Israel Sinfonietta was established in 1973 to provide a professional employment solution for outstanding musicians who immigrated to Israel from the USSR, an orchestra of 22 musicians Its first musical director and conductor is Avi Ostrovsky An immigrant from the USSR arrives in Israel, gets off the plane with his violin in hand, arrives in Beer Sheva, and is accepted into the orchestra The lead violinist is Godel Yeshanov, a wellknown violinist in his country The members talk about the arrival in Beer Sheva, the different desert landscapes, the camels seen on the street, and the difficulties of absorption The orchestra has already been a great success In the first concert, the conductor Ostrovsky shares the experiences of working with outstanding musicians as well as the plans for the future concerts, teaching children, and more.
