A documentary produced by Prime Minister’s Office Film Service (Israeli Film Service) in cooperation with the Israel Committee for the Stoke Mandeville Games.
On November 4th, the 1968 Summer Paralympics opened in Israel. For the following nine days, seven hundred and fifty paralympic athletes from twenty eight countries were competing in various disciplines: wheelchair racing, slalom, archery, weightlifting, lawn bowls, table tennis, wheelchair fencing, swimming, wheelchair basketball, and others. This short film documents the main events as well as the opening and closing ceremonies.
