A documentary film produced by Histadrut about the moshav of Nes Harim.
Hard work in agriculture, limited mail services, and frequent cattle raids are not the only challenges Nes Harim’s residents face. Predominantly Kurdish-Jewish immigrants, they also cope with major differences between their native customs and the local culture. “Here we have modern lives, but we cannot do without our tradition,” explains one of the residents. This short film documents the Kurdish community in Nes Harim on the verge between tradition and assimilation.
The film’s soundtrack features singer Mordechai Ezra, flutist Yona Nissan, and drummer Mordechai Binyamin.
