A documentary film produced by the Israeli Film Service about the painter Moshe Berenstein.
The yearning for the lost world of Europe’s Jewry haunts Moshe Berenstein: “I live with a burden of the past. I live with some internal pain, and I include it in my art,” says the Poland born painter, who lost his family in the Holocaust. In his Tel Aviv studio, the artist paints the world of the Jewish shtetl, a world that is no more.
