An official visit by the Burmese Prime Minister, U Nu, to Israel. Nu and his entourage drive through the streets of Tel Aviv, the public stands on the sidewalk, waves and cheers. The entourage visits the Tel Aviv city Hall and receives a formal reception. After leaving the building, Nu returns to his car and waves goodbye. The delegation travels to the Alliance tire factory in Hadera, which maintains trading and manufacturing relations with Burma. Representatives of the factory welcome the delegation and give a tour of the factory. At the end of the visit, Nu signs the factory’s guestbook. Nu and his entourage travel to Haifa Bay, for a visit in a fertilizers and chemicals factory. The cars park in the front of the factory, representatives welcome the delegation and give a tour of the factory. The delegation continues the tour to Haifa City Hall, and meets with Mayor Abba Hushi, as part of a formal reception in the presence of IDF soldiers. The delegation continues to visit Isfiya, and is welcomed by the local children carrying Israeli flags. The delegation is hosted for lunch by the village leaders. From there, the delegation goes on to Kibbutz Afikim and then to Sde Boker, where Nu meets Minister of Defense David Ben-Gurion. At the end of the meeting, Ben-Gurion and Prime Minister Moshe Sharett escort Nu and his entourage to the airport, where their plane takes off.
