Rina Sharett—a renowned dance teacher, choreographer, and researcher—delves into her remarkable journey in the world of dance. From her formative years studying “Body Culture” at the Kibbutzim College to her experiences learning African dance under the iconic Pearl Primus. Rina tells about the diverse tapestry of ethnic dance styles that have shaped her caree, with a special focus on Yemenite dance, which she learned with the assistance of researcher Yom-Tov Lewinsky, and taught. She reflects on her time at the Inbal Dance Theater, collaborating closely with esteemed director Sara Levi-Tanai.
