Eitan Porat, born in Czechoslovakia, was a child when the Nazis confiscated his father’s cherished collection of birds. As the sole survivor of his family after the Holocaust, Eitan immigrated to Israel and settled in Kiryat Shaul, Tel Aviv. Driven by a feeling of duty for remembrance and education, he established a petting zoo dedicated to sharing his story. Today, children and youth visit the zoo to interact with the birds and hear Eitan’s poignant testimony about his past, ensuring that the lessons of history are never forgotten.
