How did David Ben-Gurion define Jewish identity? What, in his opinion, distinguishes the Jewish people? How did he view the role of religion in the life of the Jewish people? In 1973, Ben-Gurion addressed these and many other questions during a meeting with four Jewish students from Israel and the USA at Beit Hillel in the Hebrew University. This short film, produced by the Hillel Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and B’nai B’rith, documents the meeting moderated by Rabbi Dr. Jacob Cohen.
