In December 1988, a powerful earthquake struck southern Armenia, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of people and leaving hundreds of thousands homeless and physically and emotionally injured.
The film follows the efforts of an Israeli delegation that arrived to rescue residents from the rubble and provide medical assistance, particularly focusing on the “Healing Operation”: an initiative involved flying a group of Armenian citizens to Israel for rehabilitation.
During their stay in Israel, the group members face a variety of challenges: Sergei learns to walk again, Ruben returns to drawing with the help of an artificial hand, and others struggle to process the trauma they and their loved ones experienced during the disaster.
They navigate moments of joy and crisis, hope and sadness, while forming meaningful connections with the Israeli team and exploring ways to rebuild their lives and return to their daily routines.
