A documentary produced by the Israel Film Service for the Ministry of Defense, the Museums Unit, the Irgun Museum, and the Etzel House Museum. The Irgun, the National Military Organization, was a Hebrew underground military organization founded in Jerusalem in 1931 and operated until the establishment of the state in 1948. The organization grew out of the ranks of the Betar movement and the Revisionist movement led by Zeev Jabotinsky, with the intention of acting more decisively against Arab aggression and the British mandate than the “Haganah” organization. The film describes the organization’s campaigns through key events in its history, featuring original archive footage from the days of its activities.
