This short instructional film, produced by the Israeli Film Service in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, is meant to provide guidance regarding customer-focused service to medical personnel working in outpatient clinics, in order to avoid customers being subjected to exhausting, unpleasant experiences. To that end, the film likens patients’ efforts to receive service at these clinics to competing in an obstacle course, and several principles are suggested for improving service quality, with customer-focused service at the forefront. These principles – which include gathering relevant information before patients’ arrival, improving internal work protocols, maintaining privacy and treating patients with kindness and professionalism – are demonstrated by way of short scenes depicting typical interactions between patients and clinic personnel.
