A documentary produced by the Israeli Film Service. In 1975, director Pavel Constantinov conducted interviews with residents of the settlement of Nevatim for his film ‘Rose in the Desert.’ Twenty years later, this film brings new interviews with those who were filmed in ‘Rose in the Desert.’ The conversations reflect the tension between an older generation still working in agriculture and a younger generation wanting to lay down the sickle.
The film features residents of Nevatim: Nechemia Yitzhak, David Yehoshua Ben Gurion, Penina Yitzhak, Eliyahu Yitzhak, Eli Rassam, Yitzhak Ephraim, Shimon Yitzhak, and Eliyahu Yitzhak, alongside their Bedouin neighbor, Ali Rassam.
