An explanatory film produced by the Israel Film Service for the Museum of Underground Prisoners in Jerusalem.
The film follows the journey of David Cohen, a Jewish prisoner sent to the Central Prison in Jerusalem during the British Mandate. Through Cohen’s story, viewers gain insights into prison life and the history of the Jews in the British Mandate era. The staged parts are accompanied by narration and original footage from the Mandate period, unfolding the tale of Jewish underground movements from the British occupation of Jerusalem to the Declaration of Independence.
