This documentary movie was produced by the Israeli Film Service and it covers the 1995 “Roaming Immigration Absorption Week”. During this week the festival moves from different cities that absorbed large amounts of immigrants such as Carmiel, Upper Nazareth (Today Nof Hagalil) and Hadera. The Festival is full of sport and cultural events including live concerts, dancing and soccer games. The purpose of the week is to create a positive attitude towards the immigration phenomena in order to make an impact both socially and nationally, while putting an emphasis on the cultural and economic contributions of the mass immigration that arrived since the early 90’s. During one of the events the minister of Aliyah and Integratton, Yair Tzaban spoke: “The state of Israel’s economy is the most growing economy in the whole western world. All of this happened, among other reasons, thanks to the vast stream of 700,000 immigrants that came here, created new necessities, infused new blood and created new momentum”.
