Ayanot Girls training farm was established as a working farm at the initiative of Ada Fishman Maimon in 1930 near Nes Ziona on land bought by KKL with a donation from Julius Schwartz. The establishment of the school was supported by WIZO, the Romanian Federation, under the management of Selma Margaret Margolis, and the Pioneer Women of the General Workers Union. In 1932 the place that was designed by the well-known architect Richard Kauffmann was opened. Initially it was used as a working farm and then as an agricultural school for girls. During World War II, the village took in Jewish refugees from many countries. During the War of Independence, the village served as a guarding and organizing point for the Palmach. In 1952 it became a mixed agricultural school.
In the film we can see pictures of everyday life on the farm, sorting eggs, raising chicks, a barn, working in a vegetable garden and nursery, a cabbage field, preparing a salad, washing the floor, harvesting, plowing, working in an orchard – the majority of girls and young women in work clothes and rubber held shorts. General view of the village buildings, the central building.
