A documentary produced by the Israeli Film Service.
Caucasus Jews in Israel have much to be proud of, says Yaakov Bar Shimon: a rich and ancient heritage, deep roots in the land of Israel, and a community that has produced great figures, such as Yafa Yarkoni. However, Bar Shimon, responsible for the absorption of Caucasus Jews in the Ministry of Integration of Immigrants, fears for the future of their unique culture. In this film, members of the community discuss the challenges they face in Israel and their unique history.
Alongside Bar Shimon, the film features Boaz Ravyev, David Ezi, Mark and Luda Abayev, Yoreh, Marina and Misha Shuvayev, Yosef Matayev, Sasha Matkov, Tanya Chizgilova, Sergei Menshirov, and others.
