“Kushnir’s Guide to Vacationing in Israel”– a road map for the family with a comedic emphasis—is a series produced by the Israel Film Service in 2002 under the direction of the actor and comedian Avi Kushnir. The target audiences are families and children. Each series episode explores a different part of the country, emphasizing nature trips, history, culinary and cultural aspects, and extreme sports for beginners. The current chapter is a journey between Zichron Ya’akov and Haifa via Dor Beach and Carmel Beach. The tour includes archaeological diving at Dor Beach and windsurfing for beginners, tai-chi lessons on the beach, and visiting Itamar Levy’s book warehouse. Body treatments with the soft tissue method, a visit to the restored pedestrian walkway in Zichron Ya’akov, Beit Aharonson, and the wine cellars of Carmel Mizrahi Winery. An alternative picnic in the Carmel forests, a visit to the Baha’i gardens in Haifa, and then to cafes and pubs along Ben Gurion Boulevard in the lower city conclude the trip.
