Kushnir’s Guide to Vacationing in Israel – a road map for the family with a comedic emphasis, is a series produced by the Israel Film Service in 2002 under the direction of actor and comedian Avi Kushnir. Each episode is set in a different country zone and deals with nature, history, cuisine, culture, and extreme sports for beginners.
In this episode, the journey is in Tel Aviv with a bike ride on the renewed boulevards, gourmet falafel in three colors, a Jaffa restaurant with goldfish in the bathroom, the boisterous nightlife in Tel Aviv, an amusement city in Herzliya’s marina, shopping at Sheinkin street, the Yarakon Park with a cruise in the restored Yarkon river, Tel Aviv’s answer to mountain climbing, shopping in the Carmel market and the Nachalat Binyamin pedestrian promenade. A visit to Jaffa and the Cordelia gourmet restaurant, concludes the day.
